Patronus Partners, the firm set up by former Killik & Co chief investment officer Paul Kavanagh, has hired Killik's head of trading.
Jeremy Steinson will join as a director of the firm. His investment role and title at the company are yet to be announced.
In January last year Kavanagh alongside fellow Killik alumni John Prior and Kareem Khouri launched the stockbroking and investment management business.
The three formerly established Killik’s derivatives division and ran a managed futures strategy—which they transferred to Patronus.
Up until now, Steinson had spent his entire career at Killik joining in 2006 as an assistant private client broker and working his way up—over the last ten years—to the position of associate director and head of trading.
During this time Steinson worked closely with Patronus’ three founding directors.
‘Steinson has an in-depth knowledge of derivatives and equity trading strategies and has worked extensively with retail and professional clients. He is a great addition to the team and will be instrumental in the ongoing growth of the business,’ a Patronus spokesperson told Wealth Manager.
